President's Message

Welcome to the website of the County GIS Professionals Association of Pennsylvania, or as we’re more commonly known; the GIS Pros.  Our organization is dedicated to simultaneously supporting county level GIS and fostering collaboration amongst county level geospatial professionals within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Our membership is comprised of a variety of county GIS personnel throughout Pennsylvania who possess diverse skillsets which they’ve developed to meet the needs of their respective counties and departments; some of which include Tax Assessment, Emergency Services, Planning, and GIS itself.  Being able to share our collective knowledge is one of the greatest assets that our organization possesses, and members of the GIS Pros are active in entities such as the Pennsylvania Geospatial Coordinating Board; various CCAP committees; and other professional geospatial organizations.

It is our hope that this website will help you to understand who we are; what we do; and why we do it.   Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
